Terms of Service
Last updated: May 3, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EconDash website (econdash.org), application programming interface ("API"), and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
EconDash provides:
- An interactive dashboard with economic indicators and charts
- A public API for programmatic access to economic data
- Paid subscription tiers with higher API quotas and additional features
- Machine-to-machine (M2M) paid API access via the x402 protocol
2. Accounts and registration
Human users. You sign in through Dynamic.xyz using email, social login, or a crypto wallet. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and wallet. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
Agent / M2M access. AI agents and automated systems do not register for accounts. They access protected API endpoints by paying per call via x402 and MPP protocols. See our Agent Payments documentation for technical details.
One account per user. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or payment obligations.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Crypto payments. All payments are processed through NOWPayments. We accept cryptocurrency as specified during checkout. Subscriptions are prepaid for the selected period.
Invoicing. Upon successful payment, you receive an invoice. Payment status is verified server-side through NOWPayments IPN (Instant Payment Notification) with signature verification.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled beforehand. You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard.
Refunds. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@econdash.org within 7 days of payment. Refunds are sent to the original wallet address in the original cryptocurrency.
Price changes. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect active paid periods.
4. API usage
API keys. Access to the API requires an API key, available through your dashboard. API keys are personal and may not be shared, resold, or transferred.
Rate limits. Your API key is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. Exceeding limits may result in throttling or temporary suspension.
Acceptable use. You agree not to:
- Use the API for illegal purposes
- Resell or redistribute raw API data as a competing service
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or payment requirements
- Use the API in a manner that disrupts or degrades the Service for others
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
5. Machine-to-machine (M2M) payments
Protected agent endpoints return HTTP 402 Payment Required with WWW-Authenticate headers for x402 and MPP challenges. By using these endpoints, you agree to the pay-per-call terms specified in each challenge. Settlement occurs on-chain. We do not issue refunds for individual M2M calls.
6. Data and intellectual property
Economic data. The economic indicators and data available through the Service come from public sources (World Bank WDI, FRED, IMF, ECB, and others). We do not claim ownership of the underlying data. Data is provided "as is" from these sources.
Our intellectual property. The EconDash name, logo, website design, code, charts, documentation, and all original content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our prior written consent.
User content. You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service. You grant us a limited license to use that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
- The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of economic data
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
- Fitness of the Service for any particular purpose
Economic data displayed on EconDash is sourced from public databases and institutions. It is not financial advice. Do not make investment or business decisions solely based on data from this Service. Consult a qualified professional.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EconDash and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Decisions made or actions taken based on data from the Service
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account by contacting support@econdash.org.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in illegal activity, or if your use harms the Service or other users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless immediate action is required.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which EconDash operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.
