Waymo robotaxis have a few easter eggs to look out for during your Fourth of July ride

For the Fourth of July, the company is deploying themed wrapped cars and a custom in-car display. Waymo has surprised riders before for holiday celebrations, including an April Fool's joke. Waymo's robotaxis are getting festively patriotic for America's Independence Day this weekend. On the Fourth of July, riders will be greeted with a freshly tweaked in-car experience, with fireworks displayed on the passenger screen of their Waymo. Courtesy Waymo It's part of an ongoing tradition at Waymo to make lighthearted adjustments to the user experience during holidays as the company scales its robotaxi service to more customers. On April 1, for April Fools' Day, Waymo programmed its robotaxis to prank riders by having the in-car automated voice system ask passengers to hum a tune before the start of their ride.
